2.You can easily unscrew the spring mechanism from the barrel . There are no loose parts ; the spring is held captive on the plunger as pictured .
- Ensure that the spring mechanism and main barrel are free from grit and dirt . Throughly clean the mechanism using soapy water and dry throughly . Use a spray lubricant or water repellent if necessary . Ensure a smooth movement of the plunger through the small graduated barrel .
4. Ensure that the plunger and tapered brass end are clean and undamaged .
Contaminants or bent plunger will inhibit a smooth movement through the barrel . Damage to the brass end will prevent it from seating properly .
5. There is also a tiny pinhole on the side of the main barrel . Ensure this is free from dirt or obstruction , and that the whole barrel is also clean .
